You can set whatever rate you would like for your business on Keen. Your rate is the amount that customers will pay for each minute that you speak with them on the phone. For instance, if you set a price of $1 per minute and receive a call that lasts 10 minutes, the customer will pay $10.

If you’ve made yourself available to receive calls and a customer clicks on your Call Button, the customer will be prompted for his/her phone number and payment information. We’ll then connect the customer on the phone with you via the following steps:

1. We’ll call the customer’s telephone.
2. After the call has been accepted, we’ll call you at the phone number you’ve given to us. You can always update this number.
3. When you answer your phone, the “Keen Voice” will tell you that there’s a customer on the line for you and ask you to press “1″ to accept the call.
4. After you accept the call, The “Keen Voice” will ask you to “Introduce yourselves,” and you’ll be able to begin your conversation with your customer. Since Keen calls both parties, the customer never sees your phone number or personal information.
5. With each minute that goes by, we’ll transfer funds from the customer’s Keen account into yours according to the fee that you set. If the customer runs out of funds in his/her Keen account, he/she will be prompted to add more funds so the call can continue.
6. After the call, the customer will be asked to rate your service — over the phone or on the Web — on a scale of 1 (the lowest rating) to 5 (the highest rating). Your feedback rating will be calculated based on the ratings you receive from your callers.

As you receive calls from customers, you will accumulate money in your own account according to the per-minute rate that you set. You can always check your balance and see a full summary of your calls at your business headquarters, My Account. At the end of the month, if you have accrued a balance in your account for services sold on Keen, you can be paid either via Direct Deposit, Express Pay or a check in the mail.
